The RAZR V3 is an excellent phone. The best one I've had so far. I've had several Nokias and a couple other motorolas before and the V3 outranks them all. Initially I was taken with the design. The choice of colors makes it an option for anyone. You can go for a more masculine navy blue to a neutral silver or red to a girly pink. Next, was its size. A slim clamshell that slips nice even into a tight jean pocket or inside jacket pocket. Before I owned a Razr, and without ever having touched one I presumed that it would be clumsy to hold. When opened to talk the sides are very narrow and I couldn't picture it resting comfortably in my hand. I was so wrong. Once I held it in my hand and put it up to my ear it wasn't an issue even for a second. I like the way it kind of wraps around the side of my face. But the coolest thing is the Bluetooth. I was able to pair it with my new car and answer calls on my steering wheel and talk through the car speakers. Caller i.d. appears on the stereo screen. This is all great if you are driving alone (which I usually am), but I found it can be uncomfortable to have your conversation broad casted if you're with people. I laughed to myself that this would not be a good set up for people cheating on their lovers. I encouraged my dad to get this phone too because of the size of the screen. It's large and easy to see without his glasses on. There are other great features like instant messages and java on using the internet. All of which I don't even utilize. I am more interested in assigning ring tones and picture id's to my address book. There is one huge downfall with this phone . I had to have it replaced during my warranty at least 4 or 5 times. It would randomly state "insert sim card" and stop functioning. I was told it was a software error. Then it would randomly shut itself off. It recently happened again (out of warranty this time) and I opted for the Razr V3xx. On the other hand, my dad has not had any problems with his Razr. Note for clumsy people: I dropped this phone all the time and it never got damaged.
