2006 Lexus RX

The Lexus RX 400h is the first luxury sport utility vehicle equipped with a hybrid powertrain. It features a version of parent company Toyotas Hybrid Synergy Drive technology thats been modified for SUV duty. Changes include the installation of a new battery, the 3.3-liter V-6 from the RX 330 and a more powerful electric motor that can operate at 12,000 rpm thats twice the top speed of the motor used in the Toyota Prius hybrid. Lexus RX 400h: The Compromise-Free Hybrid

Pros: Rich interior materials, Camry fuel economy, cushy seats, better to drive than the RX 350.

Cons: Smallish cargo area, no third-row seating, priced $5,000 higher than a similarly-equipped RX 350.

Bottom Line:
The 400h adds better fuel economy and an improved driving experience to Lexus' already-excellent RX. It's arguably the first hybrid to let buyers have their cake and eat it, too. Read More

Cons: No MP3 port, more power would make the package complete.

Buy it for the extra power, not gas mileage

Cons: Extra expense can't be recovered in gas savings only

Pros: Comfort, handling, acceleration, safety, styling, luxury.

Cons: Mediocre improvement in economy over the non-hybrid; nowhere near justifying the difference in price.

Bottom Line:
Buy the H400 for lower emissions and increased mileage at low speeds, otherwise buy the RX330 and save the money. Avoid the Highlander. Read More

Energy Friendly AND Powerful - RX400h

Pros: Awesome nav system, Integrated Bluetooth! Hybrid technology is environmentally friendly w/o sacrificing POWER.

Cons: No MP3 jack, no integrated iPod option, no miles left on gas gauge.

I own this car

Pros: Great service, comfortable seating , safety (except high rollover risk), Rear camera,smooth ride.

Cons: Expensive maintenance and TERRIBLE NAVIGATION. Don't invest in this navigation.
